Thinking of getting some Dubarry (galway) boots for xmas/saving my monies.

Was in a shop at the weekend and quickly tried on a pair, they were a size six (didnt have time to stay and ask for other sizes) and they were huuuuge. I'm a short arse and they were practically over my knee

So does anyone know if they reduce in height in relation to footsize, and do the sizes come up big/small/normal as I range from a 4- 6

Tis a lot of effort to go back to skipton, so any views would be appreciated

I have had a couple of pairs of dubarrys and I know they say you should go at least 1/2 a shoe size down on what you normally have. They also give round the ankles over time and drop a fair bit

I'm usually size 5.5 to 6, but the Dubarry's I bought are 5 and are just great. They do another boot which is shorter in the leg (Dubarry Kildare) and a lady on our yard has a pair of those as she has short calves.

Might do you just to try on some diffrerent styles and sizes when you have time. They're expensive and you don't want to make a mistake.
