Dubarry sizing (apologies if this has been done before)

I bought a pair of dubarrys today in my usual size 6, but they feel a little loose.

Is this normal, is it because you're supposed to wear thick socks? I don't think a 5 would fit.

I have 2 pairs , on a size 7 and one and 8
I find the sevens too snug and the 8's too big.
I am sure they do half size though so maybe a 5.5 would be worth a try?

I rang the shop and they said they don't do them in a 5.5, so she advised an insole. I'm not letting this stop me drooling over my lovely new clares though

im a UK4 and my Dubarries are a UK4-fit fine but i only wear them for posing purposes, so only with normal socks.

They do do them in a 5.5, although the shop you bought them from might not stock it.

When I tried on the Wexford I would have had a 6.5 whereas I usually take a 7, and my understanding is that they come up on the big side and you often have to go down half a size.

I'm a size 5 and bought the 5s and they fit fine with normal socks, but also room for thick ones plus bootliners if I want.

I brought the Clare boots, in my size, and they fit me fab

not too big nor too small and I have seen them in 1/2 sizes

H i there - yes, that sounds about right. Dubarrys do come up a little large - I am usually a size 6 and take a 5 1/2 in Dubarrys - no reason the shop can't order them in for you!!!

Same here, i have a 5 in the Clare and am usually a 5 or 5.5, found they fit well and i can wear thick socks with them too.

Love mine, have had a few problems with the back zip, but other than that worn them everyday in snow, mud and deep puddles and use them to ride.

Yes, they come up big! I am usually a size 5. I bought my Dubarrys in a 4 1/2 and I can wear thick hunter socks with them.

Im a size 6 normally - and I have got a 5.5, they are still a bit big though but a size 5 is too small so I have to wear them with thick socks otherwise the heel rubs

i have a size 6 (my normal size) and they are a bit snug

tried on lots of pairs in tack shop and they were all different sizings. brought this pair in the end because i was ensured the leather would give, it hasn't yet but i've only wore them about 10 times.
