I bought a pair of these last week, black, medium, fitted really well. Rode in them three times, and by today, the elastic had given up completely, and when we'd finished galloping round a field, I realised they were literally round my ankles..

Took them back today for a refund, and the shop could clearly see where the elastic and stitching had failed, really cheap and nasty. Had a look at the others, and would not touch another pair, they all looked so flimsy. I know you get what you pay for (£17) but i did expect a bit better then this from Dublin.

A, also having to return a pair of K*TY chaps from E.C. - they were sooooo awful i can't begin on them. I have had no luck with that brand either (things break or fall apart, or is it just me ??)

Anyone else had any problems ? i did try to persuade Hubbie that I NEEDED a pair of Ariat ones, but his look told me to exit shop immediately, sit in car, and wait for him patiently while he sorted the refund. Hot damn. ;)

Oh yes, and the "red boots" had gone, and been replaced with the far nicer brown version - I approve of those.

I wonder if it was a one off, or if they've changed manufacturers or something - I was so pleased with them at first, really a shame.

I now have some Shires Equileather ones, which were £16 and fitted by the shop for me, so I'll see how we go with those. Hubs may have to dust the flies of his wallet again if these don't work !
