I love my Dublin pull-up jods for day to day wear and working/riding. They're the most comfortable jods I've ever had. However, I have worn out most of them and keep buying new pairs but the sizing is all different and now I'm confused. I'm 5' 10" and exactly ten stone. For years all my pairs said size 12/26" EU 38. I take size ten in clothes normally but as these said 26 waist and the size 10 said 24 waist, I bought the 12s and they fitted perfectly. I bought three pairs recently, but they fit completely differently. The biggest pair say 14/28" EU 40, okay, they're a little loose, but so comfortable. But the two pairs I have just bought say size 10/28" EU 36 and although both fit, one pair is a little too snug at present. But I am aiming to lose another half a stone this year so am keeping them. But what's going on with their sizing? Anyone know?

Can't help sorry but can sympathise! My very favourite jeans in the world, over the last year or so I've found the exact size make and model from various places and they all fit so differently :( some I can't even pull up over my thighs, another that needs a belt to stay up! Why the hell cant clothing manufacturers just stick with standard sizing

I agree. And if they can't all have the same standard sizing, at least don't suddenly change it without explanation. These days when many people only shop online, you can't just try everything on and it's a real hassle to return things.

Hi
I believe it depends on what type of breeches you bought ie super slender breeches are more slim fitting than the super shape it breeches as they have a tighten waistband. Hope this helps :)

I also find depending on what type of breeches you bought you need to go up a size. I go up a size in super slender breeches but stay the same at super shape it breeches :)

That's really helpful info, thanks. Can you tell me which are the closest to the old supafit ones?

Sky's right but they should confirm if you need to go up a size
this is how it should be
8/26/36
10/28/38
12/30/40
not sure if that really helps you as i can't work out what Dublin are doing! given your height and dress size you should be buying option 2 , it also depends which country they originate from as designers will cut to the national ' norm ', also price, cheapy jods can come up smaller but then stretch more ,expensive like Pikeur etc should come up truer to their listed size
all of that is probably no help to you whatsoever :)

Thanks. I have just found their size chart on their website and they are not standard at all:

8/26/32
10/28/34
12/30/36
14/32/38
But to confuse things even more, on the label the EU size is 2 inches bigger than the above hip measurement figures.
Then you have the one pair I have where the label says 10/28" EU 40 ??? What? Maybe that pair originally came from the US or something as I bought them on eBay.

I would say as the new pull on jodphurs are super slender then go for the supa shape it breeches - they don't do supa shape it pull on jodhs anymore but breeches are very comfy!

I find when I go up a size in the super slender breeches they fit but the waist is a bit big so I wear a belt. It depends wether you would prefer the pull on jodhs or breeches. But go for supa shape it breeches or a size up with a belt for supa slender breeches :)

Gahhh WTF !!!! possibly you need to ignore the european size as they obviously have an idiot working for them doing the labels, think you need their 12/30/36
but then again maybe not!!!!!

Yeah WTF!! indeed. I have emailed them now, but I think you are right, the size 12 would probably be the best fit. I wore a pair of the 10/28 all day today and they were fine but the second pair I bought in a different colour are a bit tight at the moment.
