William was competing in the speed derby there... so I don't know, maybe he's keeping his WEG horse away from competitions incase they get injured????

IMO they should be givint their WEG horses a bloody rest, look whats happened to Arko, he has been jumped and jumped and jumped and now the liklihood is he will never return to the way he was. Why not make up a team of people like Helen Treadwell, Geoff Luckett, Richard Davenport and some other Whitaker and save the who are either hoping to go to the WEG or have already been selected to save the horses.

I think Mondriaan is slightly lame and looking doubtful for WEG at the moment

I agree. I think there is pressure to keep in the Super League due to the other big money classes at the shows, so it is a catch 22 situation, but the results have not been fantastic with faults along the way, and how are we ever going to devlop depth of squads with experience like the Germans if we don't put them in the bigger shows.
In Germany, I think they have riders tour classes at some of the major shows where they have team classes in nation cup formats. This would be good over here so that a team like you have mentioned could compete against others. Perhaps we could reduce the number of things like HOYS qualifiers at shows (instead of 3 going through have 6), and replace them with a team class, or have a tour during the winter? It would also encourage 'fans' to travel to shows to support their teams.

saw on a website this morning this!!!

William Funnell's Cortaflex Mondriaan, who was out of action throughout the show, may or may not be back in contention for a place on the team.
