I've had a pair of these for 12 months now and they've lasted really well but I'm looking to buy another pair for smart use and I was wondering if anyone has the new version with the extra bit of leather... these ones -

I was just wondering your opinions on them and also how much they've sunk if at all?

Thanks in advance

I don't know but I want some!!!
lol, I was going to buy some yesterday but I ran out of money buying other things, going to buy them soon though.

I got a pair at Burghley

but the older design without the bit down the middle, I went for those cos my legs are a bit short

and they bend better at the ankle. They shouldn't sink cos they've got a draw string at the top if you need, i don't cos my legs are a bit wider

I love them, I paid £85 at Burghley instead i think of £110.
Thought they were a better option than the Durburys at £300!!

i used to have a pair of the old ones but the lining came out after about 4 months

i really like them so may still have to get a new pair i did use to wear them like all day every day at college though but one day it got stuck on my foot lol

I think mine are too big then - they've sunk a good inch at least and expanded so they are nearly falling off if I do work without stirrups

Other than that they've been fantastic though, I'm just wondering whether the extra strip may make them a bit more rigid?

Thanks for everyone's comments already

I got the new design ones round about easter time, wear them daily and they have not slumped at all. I got mine from Equestrian Clearance- think I paid £88 whereas they are normally around £120 odd

Great boots!

I think they are designed as a multi-purpose boot, including riding. I have ridden in them a few times- the foot and heel is very similar to a riding boot and certainly no wider than my other boots.

Certainly better for riding in than muckers, etc. I wouldn't ride in muckboots.

I ride inb mine for 3 hours a time and they are perfect - the first time 3 weeks ago they hurt a bit but i did have a swollen ankle and broken toes! they are fab and the only think i can get on at the moment except my ugg boots!
