Duckhurst Farm BSJA

Duckhurst is okay. Main arena big enough with okay surface...nothing flash though. Warm-up is indoor and very small with poor surface. Canteen is excellent and warm. Generally a fairly relaxed place.

You can see photos at www.dephoto.co.uk

You will need to register (free) but then can navigate to Equestrian and then Duckhurst Farm Show Centre and the year of your choice for a better view

Nope, no images come up at all and I am logged in... whole site looks a bit weird, could be a Mac issue perhaps... What I really want to know is if they have any of those "viaduct" type fillers with holes - my horse is currently terrified of them... *eyeroll*

Stacey, I was looking for you on Saturday but I couldn't see anyone in a pink jacket (it was so warm nobody was wearing jackets!) How did your horsey get on?

I was wearing it in the afternoon when it got a bit chilly - he was 3rd in Prelim 7 and left before end of Prelim 12 !! he was ok but only 2nd time indoors and with boards - ha ha

Probably a mac issue as you say...

There were no viaduct fillers in the past...in fact there are very few fillers other than the basic white trellis type from memory...but you never know what they might have added over the summer. Last year a new 'cartwheel' type filler appeared...but that was all I can think of.

I haven't been in years but sounds like the warm up etc is still the same. It's closer for me than RL though so i might give it a go again....**wanders off to BSJA website to see if they have jumping on this sunday**.....

I think Duckhurst's indoor school is bigger than RL's but their warm up is smaller.

You'll need wellies, the parking is often 'damp' as it's so low lying.

They used to have a viaduct filler (yellow and black) because my previous horse was terrified of it!! But we're talking 15yrs ago now..... I don't whether they've still got one.....I've only done X-poles recently!

It's friendly there - so go!!!
