It's a bit late but I've been busy all week with homework etc. but at least it's the holidays!
On thursday I decided to go to Duckhurst BSJA on a ticket before I affiliated. I got there and they were still on the 80cm! I had been planning to do the newcomers, but there was no wa we were going to stand around for hours, so I decided to do the discovery instead.
It didnt start off very well, they had duplicated my number so when I was supposed to go in someone else went in, meaning I had to wait for 10 other people to go and go last! I was annoyed because I had done a nice warm up and was ready to go.
I went in the ring and they called out mi name 'Jack' Rivett
on the Wolfman, and rang th buzzer. We had a couple of sticky situations, taking off from a long stride on the first and getting in deep on the second, but managed a good clear so I was in the jump off!
It was a twisty jump off course, more than what I'm used to anyway, and there were about 3/4 places where you could get a tight turn in. But because I knew I couldn't be placed on a ticket I only took one which we did in balance and got another clear which I was very pleased with.
So I had a great day! I noticed that the standered of riding is MUCH higher and there weren't many (if any acutally) chavs, although there were a few dads shouting at their kids as they go round, I noticed that these were the ones that didn't go clear.
Thanks if you've managed to get this far
