Duckhurst last night.... (Thursday eve show)

Ok so i know its only a practise show but i thought somebody might be interested!

Jumped Holly in the 1st class at 2ft 6 (had slight panic attack when warming her up as i suddenly noticed Blue was no longer standing tied to the trailer cue us charging round the car park trying to find him and at the same time panicing that he might be in the horsebox that was leaving the yard - but some kind man found him wandering by one of the fields phew) she has not jumped in a class since March and so pinged the first couple of fences and got a bit close to one or two but had settled by the end of the round and finished nicely - came 5th

Jumped Blue in the 2nd class at 2ft 9 ish he seemed a bit calmer than Sunday and last Thursday so we managed a nice steady (well steadier) clear and came 5th. Think he was just very overexcited on Sunday and last Thursday didn't want to listen to me!

Was very pleased with them both especially as i was only looking to get double clears

Was about 15 in first class and 10 in second so no not really! Quite a few little ponies and little riders all ignoring the left to left rule which does my head in somewhat!

Saw my old horses new owner there too but unfortunately she didn't have Alfie with her though i got to see photos of him

she's asked to jump Holly for me next Thursday

Hm......no!! Only know Staplehurst/Headcorn/Cranbrook/Sutton Valence type area, where is it near? Have never heard of Fawkham!!

If i'd known there was a saddlery shop there i would have made a detour on the way home! Will have to remember that one!

erm probably not in this lifetime!! haha. i have a 13.1 nutter so we stick to XC really (more room to find some brakes) haha. would love to have a bash at SJ but would need some serious schooling first!! what sort of horse do you have?

Ah i see! Could you not just steer and point and hope for the best? I used to do that on one of mine! (he's sold now !)

Have a 14hh welsh cob chesnut mare and a 16hh (still growing) coloured gelding

well we are doing hunter trails on sunday at sevenoaks RC all being well, and then hunting and some XC for the rest of the year.
If i can get some schooling may attempt some SJ ... but havent taken her in the school for atleast a month as been avoiding it as much as possible!!!
