Nice to know that its OK for me to deliberately drive like a total ar$ehole in a 30mph zone as long as I can say I've turned over a new leaf when they catch me.
Wish I'd thought of that when I DID get caught speeding in a 30mph zone (a searing 41mph, I think it was); I got fined 100 quid & 2 points(& quite right too, TBH). At that rate his fine should have been- lets see- twice the speed & 65 offences; thirteen thousand quid & a life ban?

Exactly alleycat, this country really pisses me off with it's topsy turvy sentencing, the bloke was/is a dangerous twat and should have been sentenced as you said.
