Well after being giving the ride of duke, cremello quarter horse I am so pleased how he is making progress!
He has been left for the past 3 years and picked up alot of bad habits previously such as: not being able to tie up, pulls straight backwards and snaps lead-ropes string etc - wont even go near points to tie up!
Also scared of water - hose pipes would not come within 20 feet off them! Also naps something terrible - spins around and rears a bit on hacks -very nervous and scared all due to not having anything done with him! Which each day is improving
However the past few weeks created a lovely bond and is beginning to trust me - Walks over to me in field now rather than away from me plus follows me like a sheep
Worked everyday with just getting him closer and closer to wall and standing still and next to hose pipe whilst its running!
To the point where yesterday...he stood and tied up (note parelli line only through loop and not tied until hes 100% + plus hes is constantly watched to make sure does not wander) and stood for a long time plus allowed me to put hose on him and even bathed him, which he loved!!
So I'm so proud of him - coming along so well!!!!
Here he is stood like a good boy after his bath
Ooo are we off mum!!
Man this tying up business is exhausting
