Hi
Probably being very dense but I have just bought an oldish Ifor 505 and I can't for the life of me work out how to get the interior light to come on!
Please can someone help me?

Want to use it next weekend but don't want pony having to be in the dark!

Also does anyone know where I can get a spare top door for above the rear ramp. Obviously only wanting this for when stored. Or if anyone knows another way to stop the weather getting in without having to sheet up the whole trailer.

Many thanks

I have an older 505 and the light has a switch at the bottom, but it only works when the car lights are on. Engine on, car lights switched on and if the trailer light has the switch in the right position, it will come on too. I don't often use mine though as it's pretty blinding!

I have an idea that you have to rotate the lens on some of them, after car lights have been switched on of course. You've checked the bulb of course.... Even got someone to put a volt meter across the terminals??

Have you spoken to Ifor Williams about a top door? They are VERY helpful. But if push comes to shove, I imagine a sheet metal shop might be able to make one up for you. Or perhaps phone around Ifor dealers to see if someone is breaking an old trailer.

Hope you've checked the floor!

Yep checked terminals and bulbs. Full alloy floor newly fitted 6 months ago :-)

Ifor are just looking in there warehouse for me now! Fingers crossed!

Will try everything again this evening. If no luck with light may look for a battery powered led set up or something.

Thank you

You need to get yourself a multi-tester and check the multi pin trailer socket. You'll find a diagram of the pin out on the Internet somewhere. If power is getting to the trailer lights, the fault must be in the light or in the wiring.

We males do have our uses!

Yes, there are some brilliant LED lights out there.

Just spent the afternoon on my back under the Landrover looking for an electrical fault so I can sympathise.
