Hi I hope someone can help. We are travelling around this area soon and wonder if there are any riding establishments, equestrian places of interest etc along our route, we are driving along the A75 from Gretna Green then up to newton stewart and A714 to Galloway Forest, Maybole , Stranraer Port Logan , Glenuce and then back on A75 to Gretna . We shall be in a 7.5 tonne horse box, we can do smallish roads but not wee roads if you know what I mean!! thank you

Hi Freestyler, we live outside Stranraer and are a very horsey family but have our own horses at home on the farm.
I will ask my daughter your question, I am sure she will know. She is out this evening examining children for their Pony Club tests.

This riding centre is within your search area. I don't have any personal experience of it but friends have been. Most of their reviews were positive but one lady who is very petite said she didn't enjoy it as she was getting bounced around and didn't feel comfortable on such a big horse.
Hopefully Chiffys daughter will know of other local places

Oh dear , sorry I haven’t got back to you. Daughter been out all day and they are off to Kirriemuir eventing tomorrow!
How soon do you need to know and can you explain a bit more what you are after. Do you want a horse event to watch or go to a yard to ride?
