My Ariat Bromont riding boots have sharp spur rests.
I have found that no matter how careful I am with my leg, I end up rubbing horses side and leaving a small bald patch where the spur rest rubs.
I have tried putting duct tape and plasters over the spur rest but it always comes off.
Looked into using spurs and discovered Dummy Spurs. Thought these may be ideal to utilise the spur rest and stop it rubbing on my horse.
I have done a bit of research and found that some poeople do not like dummy spurs.
Do they actually serve a purpose and would I be using them uneccessary on my horse as I only want to cover up the spur rest on my boot.
(My horse can be idle, but he does become dead to spurs)
