My warmblood horse of now 6 weeks came with a Dutch passport, it appears to be the eqivalent of a Defra passport. I sent them a letter asking about change of ownership and a few days ago I actually got a reply. They said I would have to send the passport to them and pay £15. This seems fair enough although I am a bit worried about not getting the passport back. What I do find a bit strange though is that the letter is from the Netherlands Fjord Pony Studbook! They sent a copy of the horses parents which match up with mine (Dutch Warmblood and Oldenberg) but it does seem a bit odd. Do I risk sending my passport off or shall I try and get it overstamped by an issuing authority in this country or shall I not do anything?
