talk to the BHS on monday - they are a horse welfare organisation and will deal with yards that aren't on their approval list if the welfare of a horse is at risk.

You could also talk to your local trading standards

I looked into this early this year as I had many concerns where I was.
Many issues in relation to safety and security of the horses in their care.

Its seemes it was a grey area.

There are no legal requirements of livery yards and they do not have to be licenced, Funny they can have your horse,the full works unlicenced, but a dog or cat cant be taken into bording with the place being licenced.

The have tried to bring in legislation but so far none.
