Dyeing neoprene boots?

Has anyone done it and what dye did you use.

I have 'googled' it and can't find anything that suggests I could do it.
Apparently neoprene is 'rubber', well you learn something new everyday

Anyone got any ideas on what I could use to dye the boots?

I dyed a pair of white over reach boots pink for a breast cancer awareness ride. I used fudge hair dye.
They worked pretty well, although the colour did take a few coats to get to a shade I was happy with.

I used dylon dye to colour Polocrosse cotton reins red. I had to do the dip three times to get red right colour. I got my pot of dye from a cobblers shop I have seen them on eBay too. I used a big bucket, diluted the dye and soaked for few hours, dried then repeated till right colour. It's worth a try.

What about some kind of paint rather than dye?
