Can this be done with Dylon Leather Dye?

Have a beautful brown grackle noseband BUT everything else i have is black....

It's quite hard to dye finished veg tanned leather, the leather will have a good fat content that makes the dye not fix properly.The Black will have a blueish tinge and not be true black as well. Also most ( I don't know about Dylon but I imagine it would be) are aniline and can be carcinogenic, not nice in other words for you or your horse!
Dyes tend to mark sweaty and wet horses, people's jods and hands and if it is carcinogenic it leaches into the skin on contact.
You can get a fixer called resoline, but that makes it very shiny like Patent leather!
Over oiling (not something I really advise as it rots stitches and makes leather soggy) can darken leather considerably, it won't be an exact match but quite close.
I would advise you to simply buy another one to match what you have got, easiest and safest way!
