Just been on the phone to my vet. My pony (28) has had a cough now for quite a while and I have tried everythng. Ventipulmin, living out, haylage and the list goes on.

He is a new vet to the Practice and has suggested that it could be Dysphagia. She does seem to cough after her feed and when being brought in from her paddock. They are coming out this week to check her teeth again etc.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of Dysphagia. Really want to get to the bottom of it, the cough is a dry, hacking cough but with no nasal discharge?

Yes I have asked for her to be scoped, think they will do this after they rule out that her teeth are ok. Initially they thought COPD but we will now have to explore all avenues. Feel so sorry for her, some days she doesnt cough and then others it is dreadful. Just want to get it sorted if possible.
