Ear Covers

My mare has a fly fringe because she gets very bothered by flies going near her ears when she is being ridden but the dratted thing keeps coming off. It will stay on for so long but if she does a really big doggy shake it flaps out from under the headpiece and down over her eyes which is clearly dangerous.

Any tips on keeping it in place? I'm serious toying with sewing some little straps on with pop fastners that I could then loop around the headpiece but no-one else seems to have to go this far.

Crusader do a ridden version of their fly mask - not cheap but speaking from experience, you'll never regret buying it - I have both versions for Cairo - field and ridden to protect his eye and after 3 years of a lot of use are still in good condition.
