My horse is currently going through a period of strange, unexplained, seemingly unrelated symptoms. It started about a week ago with hugely swollen, very hot back legs (one more so than the other but both affected) not lame in walk but he had a raised temperature. We (inc Vet) put it down to possible bad reaction to a wasp sting/s (wasps nest recently found in his field). Following treatment including steroid injection, anti histamines, bute, antibiotics, cold hosing and turnout his legs are now ok. However over the weekend he started sneezing out thick, yellow snot, this lasted just a couple of days then stopped, but on Sunday evening he presented with sticky amber coloured ear discharge from one ear. Other than the discharge horsey appears perfectly well, temp back to normal, eating, drinking etc. I have discussed this with vet and she suggested a couple of things it could be but I thought I'd ask on here and see if anyone else has any ideas/had similar experience? Many thanks.
