Ear Infections - anyone had one?

My boy has been diagnosed with ear infection in both ears. Hes on bute for 10 days and a massive amount of antibiotics.

I understand theyre quite rare, but im wondering what could have caused it?

hes a rescue, btw.

We are missing the champs we qualified for, but it doesnt matter really, i just want him well.

Yes they are rare. I used Swat on my horses ears and they swelled and got infected. Bute and antibiotics as well. Also I took a warm wet wash cloth and put them up to her ears. Make sure you ring it out well so no dripping water. It helped move the infection out and she loved how it feels. can only wait it out
