Ear licking

any one got any idea why my 20 week old pup has an obsession for licking EVERY dog's ears he comes across.

Is it an affection/submission thing or is it just his quirk?

My dogs do it to each other all the time. I think it's an affection thing cos they all take turns. At least I don't have to clean their ears !!

Ollie, the pup, always does it to Jade, but she never ever returns the favour LOL I bet she's worried about what she will find down the scruffy pup's ears LOL

Jade doesn't seem to mind Ollie doing it - but some other dogs in the park have really objected - he just goes up, wags his tail and starts licking their ears!

LOL he is. He gets bigger by the hour and naughtier by the minute - but he is sooooo funny at home with the things he does - even his facial expressions make you LOL

Up the park he's not so funny though as he is in every dog's face begging them to play play play. They either love him and have a good run around or nip him and tell him to sling his hook - bless him

He's also got no breaking mechanism - he either stops by running in to someone/thing or falls over - potty puppy

Its a submission thing - the pup is showing submission to other dogs by licking their ears

Just had a thought as I typed this.... good job humans arent like dogs really isnt it....

awww, really! Bless him - he must be either a complete coward and wants to be on the good side of evey dog or the friendliest dog in the West Mids LOL

PMSL - that brings to mind some not so pleasant thoughts LOL

thanks for letting me know - I thought it was a kind of weird Labroadoodle type thang LOL
