Can horses get ear mites? Ive heard some people say they dont and some say they do? If so what are the symptoms? Have noticed Kelly seems quite uncomfy in his ears and is always trying to rub them, also noticed my other oldie George is shaking his head which he doesnt usually do. Have just seen 2 little creatures on Kellys rug on the neck bit, (really making my skin crawl!) When Kelly was having his balance problems, we said to the vet could he have an ear infection, and he said no, we said what about mites, he said well he hasnt come into contact with new horses has he, but he has so its possible he got them off my new horse, and George now might have them, though have seen no evidence of this? Anyone got any ideas what they look like? Sorry for the rambling post!
