Blinking dog has either been fighting or caught his ear on something, but it's been bloody gushing! (no pun intended) it's not gushing now (don't think I left a bleeding dog to come and tell you about it!) I pinched the ear where it was bleeding (can see a little vein protruding) until it stopped and dog is staying indoors and quiet. Will it be OK now or do I need to get the vet to look at it tomorrow? Can't get hold of them today!
Thanks

As long as it has stopped bleeding should be ok. Like you said keep dog quiet as racing around could start it up again. Ears do bleed a lot all they are is skin, and blood vessels. Hope said doggy is ok

If he's shaking his head could he have something lodged in it...grass seed or something, perhaps the shaking is what caused the bleed? Keep an eye open and see how he gets on..
