When will people ever learn that dogs, cars with closed windows and sunshine are never a good match.

My sister went nipped to the shops at lunchtime and parked next to a car with a poor old lab inside. She checked the parking ticket on the car and it had been there for over an hour and a half. Temperature on her car read 18 degrees.

She called the police who were there within minutes apparently. Not sure if they broke in or of the owners came back but the police officer was seen giving the lady a good old ear bashing. Hopefully she will have learned her lesson.

Good for your sister! A few years back, I rang the local police regarding a puffing dog locked in a car and got an incredibly sarcastic and scathing mouthful from the desk sgt! Needless to say my reply to him wasn't very polite either.:o

I was quite surprised as she is normally not a confrontational person but she feels really strongly about this.

If you ever get this again, remind the arsey Seargent that Police Officers were taken to court for killing their dogs in locked up vans...mind they all seem to get away with it!
