Ears and Tail

Every horse I look at the first thing I notice is - Ears and Tail,

WTF is wrong with me, I like big ears and full tail, its not even vaguely relevant to how good the horse is and I can go on to assess the rest of the horse in a normal manner but, I like my tails and ears!!!!!!!!

I do like big floppy ears on a horse, but I think the first thing I notice is eyes. Kind eyes stand out a mile off!

Oh yes, got to have nice kind eyes, none of this flashing white bits at me.

Yep, and eyes that are too small are a no no too! Though Norm has lovely eyes, but is a grumpy wotsit sometimes so not sure how much you can judge character from it!

Agree with you - both my chaps have large ear and very full tails.

When betting on races, my OH always goes by the ears - longer they are faster they go. Unfortunately this does not bear true, but I normally managed to win enough to cover his losses - we bet £1 a race
