Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

it does show how lucky we are here.. death toll is now 8 and rising rapidly.. good luck to anyone out there affected by it.

Its terrible and very worrying :(

My brother is currently living in Japan but in the South, he is OK but he has friends in the Sendai area.

I work for a global Japanese company and alot of my colleagues (maybe 250 +) are Japanese seconded from INC to work in our Euopean HQ so as you can imagine there are many worried colleagues in my building today trying to get hold of friends, family and colleagues :(

Praying for everyone in Japan.

Its just awful awful news poor people/animals out there!

This world is falling apart :(

Thoughts and prayers go out to all in the countries on the Pacific ring of fire. There seems to be a whole lot of seismic activity around the whole region. This footage from Japan is heartbreaking. I know they cannot predict these events but it does make you wonder what effect the moon is having with the proximity to earth being a lunar perigree and closer to the earth on March 19th since 1992.

It's so frightening :(
My friend has family and friends over there in Tokyo and surrounding areas and a friend in hong kong.... also on the pacific coast I hope and pray that they are all safe and well.

It is terrifying to watch those poor people in their vehicles, desperately trying to escape, but with no where to go - the destructive power of that wall of water in incredible.

My heart goes out to all affected.

Beyond belief. Absolutely appalling. I wonder how the Japanese racing industry is coping. Quite a lot of our good horses are sent out there.

Makes you thankful to live in Europe.

And today's news about the nuclear reactor is terrifying, though not surprising.

It is all those inhabited Pacific atolls I worry about, some of them are only a few feet above sea level, wondering what the tsunami effect was to them?
