Earwigs in feed bin :(

Found couple of earwigs in feed bin tonight, so I scooped them out and promptly ended their life.
Does anyone else have probs with earwigs? Colchester seems to be swarmed by them, my house and shed surely does

Might be having to invest in metal feed bins now I think just to try and stop this happening again.

Horrid things are everywhere at the moment, as soon as you get rid of the ant season the earwigs appear

Glad im not the only one to have this, ive never had ear wigs in feed bins in the 14 years i had my last horse. When i moved yards with the new one i kept the bins in a shed instead of a barn and still didnt have a prob. I now have to keep them outside and this summer everytime i take the lid off there are a couple of earwigs running for cover. I dont know whether is because they are outside or there is some sort of ear problem this year!
Not sure how you can stop them, im guessing there are worse things to have in the feed bin but still not ideal.

Metal bins wont stop them, I just scoop them up and let them go, they aren't harming anyone.
