Have had to start feeding soaked hay. Im finding it a pain lifting heavy haynets out of water 3 times a day for my 2 horses. They live out so I wondered if anyone had any outdoor feeding ideas like the easigrazer where I could load hay into it, soak it, pull plug out and just feed it easily. Cant afford 2 of these after a hefty vet bill so does anyone know of cheaper versions or diy ones??

Our yards is just one of the liveries old council bin 😂 not a plug but I'm sure if you cut out a hole with a plug mechanism it could work

Or a big bucket from B&Q could work 🤔

I wouldn't put Eazigrazers outside unless you can fasten them to something sturdy. We have them in our shelter and now need to replace them as 2x 16hh horses have thrown them around even though they were fastened to the walls. We will be replacing later in the year and will need to find a different way of securing them. They are quite light and blow around if they are loose in our fields.

I use 2 large top water butt's that have taps at the bottom I just put something on the bottom so the net it not sitting right at the bottom, that way they fully drain and one of mine has a lid as well which is handy.

I will try and find a link for the one I have.

I have one of these it has the widest opening at the top I could find, I have a narrower one which I just cut down so it made it wider, I don't use the stands makes them to high and they sit fine on the yard near the drain.

I made a small platform with mud control mats over a drain and tipped the soaking containers over leaving the haynets to drain on the mats then wheelbarrowed them to their destination.
