An update on the little cob in this thread, I bought him that evening in a phone call to his lovely but rather overwhelmed owner and picked him up today, he traveled really well, arrived at my yard cool and calm, settled in to his new stable as if he had been here before, his main interest, being a cob, is food so he was more than happy to see plenty of haylage ready for him.

My plans for him depend on what he is like once he starts work, hopefully I will have a saddle wide enough, the main thing is he will have a chance to get back on the straight and narrow, plenty of work and a variety of activities over the winter then some showing, dressage or possibly as he apparently enjoys xc some small events.
No photos today will try and get some soon.

Thanks for all the comments, as I think he counts as another HHO success story, he had better be, I plan on updating on a regular basis, he has a super nature and I am sure he will be a good boy.

I've been wondering how it was all going all day, so am very happy to see this thread. He is a lovely boy and with the right boundaries will become a super horse. The poor thing has had quite a few different beds to sleep in one way or another over the past few weeks, so hope he settles well and really looking forward to hearing your progress reports. Now that you've got him and met my friend you will totally understand how he was just too broad for her. Good luck and a massive thank you for giving him the chance. :) xx

All thanks to you really, he has made himself at home and already looks as if he will fit in, I will keep you updated as well as your friend who is genuinely welcome to keep in touch or visit at any time.

Lovely update! Can't wait for pics.
Have you bought to keep ? :)

He will not be staying long term, once he is ready he will be sold on but will get out and about for the next 6 months or so to further his education and ensure he is going to have a good and useful future in whatever sphere he seems suited to, he is a charming boy, I am already enjoying seeing his head looking over the door taking in his new surroundings and meeting his new friends.
