Just flagging this up for anyone in the East Devon area basically.

Apparently some people were trying to catch a horse in a field nr Feniton, Devon recently. I am aware of the location but haven't posted it here.

The owner keeps cobs and as I understand it from a local person, a person or persons were in the field trying to catch one of the cobs.

"Coincidentally", there are "travellers" in the vicinity.

Just flagging this up basically for anyone in the area.

I've e-mailed the local Horsewatch Co-ordinator.

May I suggest that the owner of the horse takes the sensible precaution of getting the horse freezemarked on a visible part of it's body when tacked up as a matter of urgency and also ensures that the freezemark is placed on the horses record on www.nedonline.co.uk. Also ensure that photos are taken of the horse from all four sides so that in the event of it being stolen photos and a description can be immediately circulated.
