I'm looking into trying to set something up for this winter. Something to keep me motivated and learning through the 'dark' months. I know there are a few of us in the East Midlands - if you had the choice who would you like a session with and why? The thinking is to run a series with different trainers - something for everyone at all levels. Fun really - might even look at a sideline of mulled wine

Thoughts?

having just found out the boss wants me to keep her 'orrible beast ticking over, over the winter, it would be nice to get some training on him as I know my riding could do with eyes on the ground! I'm in South Lincolnshire but would be flatwork only for this horse.

Yes me too , flatwork for me, but my new horse jumps like a stag and is built for speed , so perhaps I would also be interested in seeing someone to perhaps investigate this avenue for me, I no longer have the bottle for jumping.

The lady from the National Saddle Company thought he would make an excellent eventer as he is so bold! - wish I was .

I am in south Derbyshire but willing to travel obviously within reason.

I would like to have a session with a good known dressage trainer who would really push our buttons, but not look down their nose at us if you know what I mean to give me guidance etc.

I know Alice Beasley does it at her yard near Kniveton not sure what she would be like though.

A great idea though.

I would be up for that. I am on the Northants/Leicestershire border. I haven't had lessons for a while but I feel much more benefit training with and watching others. Mixture of flat work and jumping would be great. I need dressage work (it's not my thing - last dressage trainer made me hurt!).

Great idea!

YES

But would be with a youngster and would have to be a weekend have no leave left!

Really would need to be Nov / Dec onwards as she (And I) are having a holiday in Oct.

I am Notts but I am happy to travel anywhere in the E.Mids. If a long way would prefer two sessions.

Any suggestions for trainers? are you thinking names?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I need to try and gauge if there are any particular trainers that would interest you so I can try and put a provisional programme together dependant on their availability so please throw some names or recommendations my way....

The venue is already set and is Notts/Leics/Lincs border. 10 mins from A1 / 5 mins from A52.

Thanks again
