Well Hector was an absolute superstar yesterday! He saw mini steam engines, HUGE stgeam engines, heavy horses in harness, cows (he insisted on shouting at the cows, esp. the bulls - was very funny) and even the hunt!! He was such a good boy. However, unfortunately we had to withdraw him, as unbeknownst (sp?) to us, he had stepped on a flint and cut the bulb of his heel and was lame on the trot up

It was just such a shame. He would def. have been in the top 3 - lots of people were overheard worrying about him being in the same class as their yrlngs. Even the steward was appologetic that we had to leave as he said the judge really liked him!! Ho hum, that's horses eh. Poor fella is quite sore this am, but he's on AB's and he's all poulticed up. He keeps holding up his leg as if to say "Poorly paw Mummy"

Wasn't that a BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB eh, just typical?!

Are you lounging in the library or at friends now or in the middle of working!? I tried to ring last night but you were busy and gave up at 11.30!

Did you? I was in bed dozing awaiting your call? Phone didn't ring nor show any missed calls - mind you the reception in my flat last night was dodgey due to the storm! Am about to go home and crash, as I'm severely bruised and battered from an accident involving me, a 5 month old foal and a lorry ramp. I hate horses sometimes!!! As it is now the 2nd day & I've run out of paracetamol, I have completely seized up.

Mmmm, I tried to return your message, must have been the storms.

Anyway, a huge Well Done to Hector for his behaviour but what a disappointment with him being sorely.
Nil points for timing Hector!

Hope he gets better soon and you too! It reminds you just how much strength a big foal has got when it doesn't want to do something!
