So they bare doing away withb the showing and show-jumping at the East of England show. How disapointing- our County Shows seem to be turning into glorified markets, with their craft tents, hot-dog stands and various clothing and toy stalls. I'm sure a lot of people, like myself, who have been regular supporters for years, wont be interested in going now. No elegant hacks, smart cobs, pretty ponies or handsome hunters. Dancing diggers and noisy motorbike displays instead. What a shame

We used to be members at the E of E but gave up a few years ago. It is now Romford markets day in the country, it has nothing to do with the countryside at all.

We went to Equifest this year. Same site as E of E but dedicated to horses! Brilliant. It was free to get in (and free parking) and there were many more equine stands etc. I won't be going to E of E again but Equifest is in my diary for next year.

Don't think I'll be bothering with it next year either as there is very little else of interest.

ive heard equifest is good- but i still think it a shame that the tradition of local county shows seems to be dying out.
