I've read a few discussion on them now, there does seem to be some issues with the heel fit for those with wider heels as the sides come round quite tight.
There is also a softer foam available for the straps so I wonder if they did rub some in trials.

Also have you seen the slings too? those that have got one of each on trial seem to prefer them.
It is interesting seeing them compared to scoots as with them the heel loops increase as the boot size does but with the hearts it can be adjusted up and down to suit.

The Draft horse's boots always spun round because her feet were absolutely circular, so those look like a good innovation. I don't think they make them big enough for her though - not that it matters now:(

scoots didn't suit the Fell, he has great feet but slightly high heels and they didn't fit-I like the concept of water drainage though lol. still have back countries in reserve but luckily haven't had to really use them.

It will be interesting to see how many people have issues with having screws on the bottom too, some seem to have lost them despite superglue and others not.

I like the look of them, using scoots at the moment and don't need new ones just now, but I like that as with the scoots there is nothing that will stay wet when they are washed after wearing. That was a pain with easy boots with neoprene gaiters. Wouldn't need the adjustment though as he never gets chance to grow any hoof to need trimming as I only boot on some routes I do.

I don’t get what function the screws on the underneath play? Am I just being dim??

I assume to secure the adjustable section once you've fitted it, but can't really see from the photos. Not really ideal in that area as the interface between plastic and metal screw will be subject to a lot of movement.

Is there a physio or chiro out there who can enlighten me on the effect of boots on/boots off on the rest of the horse's body please? Knowing the slightest adjustment to one's own footwear can throw things out of alignment out of all proportion to the level of adjustment, I just wondered what effect a "work only" use of these boots might have??

what DabDab said.
I'm not sure whether the adjustability is supposed to help with coping with a trim cycle or not, from the comments on Pete'
s page it would seem not (especially if you are gluing screws in once fitted), I have asked.

sling, no lumpy metal on the front either. More like a scoot, but thicker and can heat fit. Apparently the rubber is thicker than on the gloves/back country too.

oh cool thanks-I didn't know about those! is the length adjustable as well?

yes the length is adjustable. I had problems with Scoots on one horse hinds when the strap at the back rubbed it raw. The correct size for the foot did not give enough room behind for the strap based on his heels. I wonder if the furies will be better as you could adjust the length to get the strap further back so as to not rub the heels. I think the theory of adjusting the length could well turn out to be a good one to allow for a better fit. There have always be problems with easycares screws and bits and pieces as their boots evolved and no doubt they will continue to upgrade their "screws" after sufficient feedback.

I think the softer foam strap (which is an extra) would be good as it will be similar to the renegades the back of which is soft and doesn't rub.

I read somewhere that they were £100 as boot. Scoots are £70 so that is an extra £60 on a pair.

Ester, what do you mean by Pete's page? is it the FB hoof rehab group? If not can I have a link please?

yup there's a long thread on there with about 290 comments if you search 'fury' it comes up, posted by amy custer originally but there's a couple of people including Pete charting how they are working over the last 4 weeks or so.
