Easy Halloween ideas for Shetlands?

I work at a farm doing pony rides and would love to do something special for halloween (if the boss allows!)

Any easy ideas? Nothing too scary as we do rides for 2 year olds! (also no small parts for them to grab!)

The Shetlands are black and a dark bay and very very furry
