easy to clean/wash dog beds

My older dog has the odd accident every now and again so does anybody have any recommendations on easy to clean but super comfy beds please? :)

can you show me pics your dog beds?

Until last year I had two oldies...one who did have accidents..
I have a plastic shell bed, inside is a huge comfy mattress and I sew cloth covers ,with one Velcro side for easy change. When the old girl became incontinent,I would use a huge bin liner( garden type) over the mattress, and then have the cotton cover on the outside...easy to slip off and change and the mattress stays dry.

We've invested in a Tuffies bed:

It consists of a very comfy mattress covered with thick, durable, waterproof material. You then have a choice of washable fabric covers that slip over the top. So if your oldie has a mishap you can wash the cover, and wipe down the waterproof mattress inside. Our dogs love it and find it very comfy, and it is a very practical design. I just wish I hadn't opted for the 'Fluffy Tuffie' fleece cover, as it is thick fleece and we have a very hairy dog, so was soon full of dog hairs that won't come out! They also do dog nest type beds if you prefer that style. Not cheap though, but probably will last forever.

When my old JRT was incontinent every night, the old fashioned plastic dog beds with a couple of layers of thick vet bed worked well. The vet bed could be shoved in the washing machine and dry again within a couple of hours (we had one lot to wash and another in use) and the plastic beds could be mopped and disinfected.

With our oldie, a puppy pad underneath vetbed, inside his normal bed worked great- the genuine 'vetbed' is brilliant as urine drops through to underneath leaving a dry warm bed rather than the dog lying in its own wet. washes and dries super-fast too.
