I was wondering if anyone else on here has/had the same problem as myself and a few others. I bought a new pair of gloves and they fitted brilliantly, i took my mare hunting and they stayed on a dream. A week or so later i put them back on again, went out for a ride (didnt get very far) and thought she was walking funny. I got off checked her and noticed she had a bit of blood on her pastern. Anyhow, to cut a long story short i shaved her hair off and found that the gaitors rubbed her raw. She has used other boots with gaitors and we have never had this problem.
I put a thread on http://uknhcp.myfastforum.org/about3789.html to see if anyone else had the same problem and if you read it you'll find out they have. I just want to advise those with these style boots to check your horses because i dont want anyone else to go through the same problem as myself. On the thread is a photo of my mares injury and also peoples methods of ammending the gaitors so they dont rub.
I do love these boots but i have found the corners very hard and sharpe and thats what has caused her injury.
If you have had the same problem i'd be interested to know.
Thanks
