My horses are out 24/7 and the winter field is open over night for them. They are both fatties so other than a bit of chaff and a few carrots, they are not on anything else, also when they come in they are not very interested in their hay.
When i moved them out of the winter field this morning, I noticed that one of mine and another horse
went straight to a dirt bank and started eating earth. There is quite an area where they have all been digging eating. Does this mean they are deficient in something or is it just a healthy sign that they are finding their own minerals?
