Eating her Bed!!

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about how I can stop my Mare eating her straw bed! She can't go onto woodchip as is allergic but won't stop eating the straw no matter what quality it is, she has plenty of hay, but was wondering if anyone new of anything I could put on it to stop her.

Spray some week Jeyes solution onto it. That's what the vet recomended for my horse, it worked!

i havent had this problem although i o plenty of people who have. the best thing i have seen 2 work is sprying fly spray all over the bed ... works a treat!

my boy has a huge stable so I just put a big round bale of straw at the back - he quite often eats this instead of haylege - I was worried about colic but so far he has been alright.

There is a product called Stable Fresh which is for cleaning stables.... you can dilute this and spray the bedding.. (it says so on the bottle so must be safe). It stopped my friends highland from eating his bed when jeyes didnt, so assume must work fairly well.
