But not at the same time!
My mate's new horse is lovely. But there are a couple of things which are bugging her about him, so over to you experts.
Th horse was on the poor side when she bought him. So he has been on Bluechip since then( 3 months). However, he has been seen eating soil. Do you recon this is an old habbit? He is recieving the correct quantity of Bluechip and is on good grazing so there is no way his diet is deficient in minerals.
Also, occasionaly, just before he swalllows he makes a little sound like a glurp, just gently! I didn't want to worry her, but do you recon this is congenetal or something more sinister like an old strangles abcess or something that needs looking at... or do some horses just squidge air about in their mouths sometimes. It is totaly unlike windsucking and only happens just before the horse swallows.
Horses teeth were done by the vet and he is well looked after 5* home!
