Eats his own poo!

I've a rescue dog who eats his own poo. Now had him for 3 months and has settled in well - he was a stray. I have stopped him eating other dogs poo (He lives with an old boy who's on Metacam which obviously doesn't taste very good!!). I've tried pineapple, and rock sulphur. Any suggestions what else I can try or whether the vet could prescribe something? I've also tried conditioning him to treats but obviously treats don't taste so yummy! Yuk.

Is a learnt behaviour apparently and is also affected by what food they are fed on...

Try giving vitamin B tablets. Just the ones you find in Boots. Its usually that they're lacking.

I'm having a terrrible problem with one of my Springer pups eating the other dogs' crap...she even had a dollop on her head last week after trying to catch the crap as our Munsterlander squatted....DISGUSTING! I'm currently giving all the dogs DETER tablets from the vet but what's this about Chudley's seaweed supplement? My dogs are are currently on (from 6 months to almost three years old) Chudley Junior and Chudley Original. Please help.....someone......please.....I'm fed up with runny tummies eveywhere!
