I bought a navy Nags Rags exercise sheet a while ago for a fiver. I've never used it, so I decided to make a few changes and if I messed it up, it didn't really matter. ;)

I had a pink hi-viz strip from something that I'd taken apart, some tinsel and some battery powered LED fairy lights.

This is my masterpiece! :p

Plus the ponios, so they don't feel left out. ;)

I expect that I'll use it for leading out the grey this christmas, as I'm not expecting to bring my chestnut mare back into work until the spring. :( Having said that she feels very well at the moment and was cantering about the field as my friend rode past and really wound her horse up - naughty madam, she's supposed to be pottering about slowly on field rest!

Thanks. :) It could have gone horribly wrong - sewing tinsel is soooo difficult.

And nice to see new boy seems to have settled in!

Yes, he's really happy, although the grey is terrible for bossing him around. He still follows her and copies her mind. It's like watching two small childern (elder sister and younger brother), very entertaining though! :)

My helper *cough* hindrance, is called Kasper and he had a lovely time last night riding the yearling (the chestnut lying down in the first post) who luckily didn't care one jot as he had a rug on and was far too busy eating. He gets on the horses from the fence and it's his latest defence from the grey who like to chase him out of the field. ;)

Looks good fun, but can I be the bah, humbug here and just warn you that my so-called bombproof cob once spun and ditched me out on a hack, for no apparent reason. The only cause I can think of is that I added tinstle to his tail and although I introduced him to it carefully, it mist have blown in the breeze and he caught sight of it out of the corner of his eye or something.

Its embarrassing falling off at the best of times, especially when a stranger catches your horse for you, but explaining it when you are decorated like a christmas tree is a tad more embarrassing!! :o

Poor chestnut mare has been covered in tinsel every christmas for several years, but I do take your point that sometimes, something that they are normally fine with will catch their eye and cause a spook. I'll happily take the risk with her next xmas when she's back in work. :) With the grey, I'll be leading her as she's not ridden yet, but I will check that she doesn't mind it before I set off. I have managed to sew the tinsel down very tightly (was a right pain) along the whole length. She's happy in my yellow exercise sheet. :)

That is wicked! :D Hmmm i wonder if i can adapt the idea for a some red lights on my hi vis ex sheet? I think you might be on to a winner! :D

Also, can I have the cat, hes stunning!!

The brown cat (his best buddy) would never forgive me!

Battery powered fairy lights are brilliant. Mine are a set of 20 blue LED's and they only cost £1.99. :) I'm tempted to get another set in a different colour to sew onto another hi-viz item. Possibly my tabbard... the battery pack can go in the pocket so that it stays dry in the rain.

No-one will miss me or the neddies when I venture out onto the roads. :D
