Ebay How long should you wait?

Hi bought item off ebay paid thru paypal April 30th.It was holiday Monday last week so ok fair enough.Still no sign of item.Don't want to hassle seller but how long is reasonable to wait?.
I'm in UK and it was UK seller

Id be asking them about it now. Thats quite a wait - they have ten days to send item is it not? Thats 10 days now..........

Yea thanks thats what I thought but OH thought leave it til this week(which tbh is most unlike him).

Did it go through as an instant payment or an e cheque? If its an e cheque they'll be waiting until it clears.

I send everything out within a day or two of payment clearing, any longer than that and I email the buyer and let them know I havent sent it yet for whatever reason

No paypal is linked to an account.Bought and paid same way for another item.It arrived middle of week.
Hope theres no probs as wanted this bit for horsey!!!!

Send the seller an email - the only way we know if the royal mail has lost something is when we get contacted

Of course there is the outside chance of a screw up, and again the sooner you tell the seller the sooner it will get sorted

Of course we do get the occasional stroppy email 3 days after an auction demanding to know why they haven't got their goods yet, fortunately stroppy people are in the minority, but sadly they are the ones you remember!

I have got a shop on Ebay (hope its not brought from me!), and would appreciate the email. We have had a few items go missing with Royal Mail lately and if the buyer doesn't get in touch we don't know about it! Also its worth contacting your sorting office if you haven't yet as we have also had a few instances where cards haven't been left and they items have been waiting at the sorting office. Hope you get it sorted!

Usually haven't had a prob items turn up pretty quick or seller advises just didn't want to hassle someone esp if something unforeseeables happened.
I don't usually sell on ebay OH does and he usually email seller when items bought and on day posted

Check to see if the seller has said anything about when they post out. I bought something on a Sunday only to find that the item would not be posted until the following saturday, it was on their listing originally.
Otherwise, as you have now done, a polite and friendly email enquiery.
