Ebay novice Q??

I have quite a few things that i would like to sell ( horsey and non horsey thing) on Ebay, but i have never used it. Is it quite straight forward to use? I intend to use PayPal only for transactions, does anyone else just use this method? Any Do's or Don'ts? etc. Any other advice welcome and experiences (good or bad).

It's dead straightforward.

I always specify UK bidders only and that bidders with under 10 feedback must message me first or I will cancel their bid.

Have good photos and a decent description - think what info you would want if you were buying.

I do Paypal or cash on collection. If you are posting, make sure you don't diddle yourself out of postage. If selling multiple items to the same buyer, you can offer reduced postage.

It's really easy to use, but believe me once you get going on it you'll be hooked, lol!

Same a reply above, I only put to UK bidders (as oversees postal can be quite expensive!), and I do it all through Paypal or cash on collection.

Also always be honest on your advert and describe any of your items in as much detail as you can i.e. if it has a random mark or scratch on it, just to cover yourself really.

If you have never used it does that mean you have never bought off it? in which case I would only sell low value items so you can build up feedback. You won't get a good price for something of value if you are showing at say only 2 peoples feedback. Also, worth looking at similiar items to a: get an idea of what they would sell for b: how to describe them. Happy selling!

Describe correctly, take as many photos from all angles as poss. photo any scratches, marks. Always always send by recorded delivery so you can track the item and prove it was received by the buyer. proof of postage is not enough, If your buyer claims they have not received the item and you have not sent it signed for, paypal WILL refund the buyers money even if it means taking the money straight from you bank account and you will have no say in this. Having said that paypal is the best way to go. Have fun!
