Just wanted to bounce this off you guys before I take any further action - am I being unreasonable?
OH's mare broke her bridle a couple of weeks ago - I was considering going to a show on the following sunday, and had been planning to get a more suitable bridle for Hunter classes anyway, so seemed a good excuse. Had a browse on ebay, found a hunter bridle the right size, auction finished on the Wednesday. I sent seller a message saying was there any chance that I could do a buy it now, she said no, too late.
So I said if I win it, is there any chance I could get it sent next day delivery, and that I was happy to pay any additional costs incurred. She replied that that was absolutely fine, and it would be an additional £4 (already £4 postage for a bridle, not bit, no reins). So I replied to that and said that was fine as long as she could guarantee to send it out to me on the thursday, so I could get it by Saturday(it was easter week, so Good Friday). Again, she said no problem. So I enter the show (£20 for 2 classes)
Wednesday comes, I win the bridle, pay immediately and again, send message to confirm that she will send out the following day.
Again, she says that is fine, and that it will need signing for on the Saturday.
Saturday comes, I stay in all morning. Nothing. Send message querying where it is?
Get a reply sat pm, saying she forgot it was Good Friday, hasn't sent it yet. I send rather grumpy message saying I've lost £20, stayed in all morning, and paid extra postage. She apologises and says she will refund extra postage.
Bridle eventually turns up, its fine, but not what I'd call VGC as described. But I only paid £15, so not quibbling about that.
However, no sign of refund, and she is not answering messages. Sent 2 now saying where is refund but not a reply.
What should I do? Just forget it? Know it is only £4 but its the principle really, as I actually lost £24 with the entries. Leave neg feedback? But then she will leave me the same and I don't want that! Can I persue somehow thru ebay?
Do you guys think I am just being petty??
