Ok so I advertised my 3.5 ton box on ebay as I need a bigger box. I underpriced it slightly as I am hoping for a quick sale. Finished today.

Outcome, very reasonably priced box with tax and test on ebay 30 people watching and not 1 bid! What were the 30 people watching it for??? It's not dead pretty so not daydreaming and has had this many watchers for a couple days.

I don't understand, can anyone enlighten me?

Boo, that's pants! What time did the auction finish though? If it's before about 7pm most horse people IMO are either at work or the yard! Just out of interest what sort of price did you start off at...

I sometimes watch things that i dont want to buy if I'm going to be selling something similar to give me an idea of final prices.

That may account for some. Ditto re the end times. We always aim for Sunday early evening as a lot of people shop then to get past the Sunday blues!!

Maybe its all your friends having a nose ;)

£1,100

gutted as I wanted to get a bigger one and my father in law and Sharer's dad will drive it until I pass test for bigger one. I even found 1 I wanted. Boo hoo me.

£1,100 is a very good price for a box with MOT and tax on it! I wish I had some cash, I'd have a look at it!

try it again with a buy it now , or best offer. Don;t bother with the bidding and leave your mobile number so they can call. I advertised my trailer on there and had some really wierd people ring up about it. i had loads of offers - most really low ones, but several decent ones and I have sold it to someone local to me. People can put in offers to you and you can decide what you want to accept. try again, you may get some luck. i would not bother with an auction and make the Buy it now price a more than you would accept from a bid.

As previously mentioned by others, your timing of the end of the auction could be your problem. As a seller and buyer on ebay I always have my sales ending on a weekend or after 8pm at night - and I hate trying to bid for anything at the last minute as if I'm at work as I can't log on to ebay there

Just found an ad on preloved for a 3.5 box wanted free to good home! Really? Not a charity or claiming to be or anything. Someone expects one for free? To use? Like given to them? Am a little surprised.

I had this when selling my box on ebay. I had about 30 watchers and relisted it twice and had same both times but no bids. Why bother watching if not going to bid???

eBay.. it's not what it use to be.
I would say it is worth relisting... We,ve had to on a few bits and they sold eventually.

EXACTLY the same literally just happened with my box :( reasonable price for a lovely little 3.5t - 42 watchers but no bids - gutted :(
