need to put some jods in ebay and body warmer, but what should i charge for postage??
i dont know wheather to try recorded or will a pricey postage put people off? (its just someone i know has sold a few things and the buyer has claimed she didnt recieved so got her money back!)
all jods are brand new with tags on too!!
thanks :)

wrap them and weigh them to see how much postage will cost you, i dont normally send anything recorded but have saddles on there at the mo which will be cos they are more money. i think there is a limit of what you can charge for clothes postage

Pack them up as you would be sending them out, weigh them and then check how much they will cost to post on www.royalmail.com

Not worth sending them by Recorded unless they are worth (and sell for) more than £36, as you can claim for this amount if they get lost anyway.

Make sure you get a proof of postage from the PO, you will need this if you need to make a claim.

I always post recorded when it comes to ebay - then if they ever claim not to have received it you have proof.

I posted some stuff for ebay yesterday, charged £6 1st class recorded delivery for each item. One big puffy coat was just over £6, one slightly smaller puffy coat was just under £6 and a little quilted fitted jacket was just under £4. I hope this helps!!

The other thing you can do is ,

look on ebay and see what other people are charging to send them. Add £1 and say postage is a guess monies refund if charge is too much..

This is what I do if i have not the time to keep going up to post office.
or say postage is a guess wait for invoice before sending postage once item is wrapped and weighed.

The amount of times i wrap items then people say can u send me another picture, so have to unwrap again.

you can go royal mail "to sign for" or have a look at some of the courrier sites such as parcel2go and parcels please.
It would cost around £5 to send with someone like yodel or my hermes and these would be tracked automatically. both the above sites will give you a range of prices from different courriers.but also check out how much extra it would be for highlands and islands and mention this on the listing just in case.
Ive bought and sold a lot on ebay and find that apart from one or two rare nobs on the whole buyers and sellers are as good as their feedback.

Agree with this. Parcel2go are great. I use them quite regularly. Much cheaper than Royal Mail for parcels.

If an item does go missing with royal mail you wont be left out of pocket. You refund the buyer then you can actually claim back the full amount that you originally bought that item for as long as you have some proof, eg receipt, bank statement plus you also get refunded the postage cost.
EG you buy pair of jods for £30 from shop, wear them a few months then sell them on ebay for
£5 +£3 postage, you post them and they get lost, you can claim back off royal mail £30 plus £3 postage even though you only sold them for £5!
If you dont have proof of purchase you can alternatively claim the £5 you sold them for + the £3 postage.

Dont refund without getting the post office form first though, it has time scales on and details you must get off of the buyer.
