Has anyone ever read this. It's got some very valuable advice.
I particularly like the What size does my horse need question- a 16.4 horse will need a 155cm rug.

A good guide to start is that a 115cm (3'0 something) will fit a 12-13hh and you then just add 10cm for every hand

Is there another way of measuring? my 16.4 (!) wouldn't fit into a 5' rug

oh and a docile horse will feel the cold more and need thicker covering....

Neither have I! I was looking for a rug i wanted and it was on the bottom of a page- I'll see if i can find it again

Rugs are not measured the same in cm and ft. Cm are wither to tail and ft are chest to tail. A 155 cm will be a 6ft9.

I guess a 16.4 horse is a 17hh, who would need about 6ft9.

I went to Rugs and Sheets, didnt narrow it down anymore than that. Scrolled down to the bottom of that page and its headed Keeping your companion comfortable.

Same, although as Palindrome pointed out there is another way to measure.
It’s a pretty confusing misleading bit of advice either way!

The rugs I've bought new over the last couple of years tend to give both measurements on the label - I thought measuring the back in cm was the European way of doing it.
